  43. 1. WHAT IS THE BUSINESSCARDS/32 SOFTWARE?
  44. ======================================
  45. BusinessCards/32 for Windows'95/NT is a free form database program,
  46. useful for keeping track of any type of textual information. You can use
  47. BusinessCards/32 to organize and manage any vital information, such as
  48. addresses, references, notes, etc. If you are familiar with 16-bit
  49. version of BusinessCards, BusinessCards/32 is the new 32-bit program
  50. port.

  52. BusinessCards/32 is extremely intuitive and easy to use software. I've
  53. tried to make it to be more useful, than Windows Cardfile.
  54. BusinessCards/32 has friendly and convenient folio-like user interface
  55. with alphabetic tabs and flipping pages. I expect you will be amazed by
  56. how fast you can learn to use it effectively.

  58. With BusinessCards/32 you decide how to present and organize
  59. information. Instead of using predefined fields and record layouts,
  60. offered by most database programs and personal information managers, in
  61. BusinessCards/32 you decide how to format and display your data.
  62. Moreover, you may use BusinessCards/32 to store random data, such as
  63. Internet WWW pages, video or CD titles, short articles, collection
  64. items, etc.

  66. BusinessCards/32 is compact. There are no requirements for megabytes of
  67. free disk space or extra memory to run the program. So if you are busy
  68. business traveller, you will be able to keep both program and data files
  69. on diskette and use them at client's site. Since BusinessCards/32
  70. directly reads and writes Windows Cardfile files, there should be
  71. minimum problems, converting your existing address or price database.

  74. BusinessDialer/32, which allows you to use your modem and dial phone
  75. numbers from inside BusinessCards/32.

  80. Normally, BusinessCards/32 distribution kit consists of archive file

  105. 3. HOW TO INSTALL BUSINESSCARDS/32?
  106. ===================================
  107. In order to install BusinessCards software you need Windows'95 or
  108. Windows NT and 750K of free disk space. Mouse and modem are recommended.
  109.  
  110. To install BusinessCards/32 and BusinessDialer/32 run SETUP.EXE program,
  111. which is included in the distribution kit. You will be prompted for the
  112. directory where you want to install the software (by default it's
  113. BCARDS32 directory). The rest of the process will be automatic.
  114.  
  115. Since BusinessCards/32 installation requires no changes to your WIN.INI,
  116. SYSTEM.INI, AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS files, you can easily install
  117. BusinessCards/32 software by hand. Just copy all the files to separate
  118. directory on your hard drive and run BCARDS32.EXE program.

  120. There is complete documentation and information on how to use
  121. BusinessCards/32 and BusinessDialer/32 in the on-line Help.

  123. In case you would like to get rid of installed copy of BusinessCards/32,
  124. just remove program directory with all existing files.

  127. 4. HOW TO REGISTER THE PROGRAM?
  128. ===============================
  129. This software is a fully operational program. I have made it this way
  130. so that you can have a real look at it, and then decide whether
  131. BusinessCards fit your needs or not. If you do find it useful, the
  132. author asks that you please register your copy. Registration fee is
  133. just $29.95. This include registration of BOTH BusinessCards/32 and
  134. BusinessDialer/32.

  136. For this sum you will receive your personal serial number and:
  137.  
  138.    1. Original diskette with most up to date version of BusinessCards/32
  139.       and BusniessDialer/32 plus your FREE BONUS -- BrainCubes game for
  140.       Windows.

  142.    2. Your personal serial number to register the program. The initial
  143.       registration reminder dialog box which appears at the beginning
  144.       of the program is removed when you install your registered copy.
  145.       Also, your name will appear in Help/About dialog box and word
  146.       `UNREGISTERED' will be removed from program's title bar.

  148.    3. No watermark priniting in registered version, so your output will
  149.       NOT contain "Printed with UNREGISTERED version of BusinessCards"
  150.       phrase.

  152.    4. Fully functional version of BusinessDialer/32 (beyond 30 days free
  153.       trial period).

  244. one copy of the distribution package and duplicate the distribution disk
